Design and Looks
The handset features a brushed metal panel. The phone makes good use of metal and substantial chrome on the navigation pad making it look way above the mid-range price it's offered for.
The slider makes use of a solid spring loaded action with the keypad on a single piece of plastic. The keypad is neat and is designed to be finger friendly with curved ridges that allow accurate taps.
The handset offers a large D-pad at the center which is quite straightforward with its navigation of grid-based menus and also comes with pre-loaded functions.
The stylish handset comes with a 2.2 inch TFT screen which displays up to 16 million colours with screen resolutions of 320x240 pixels for a clear and colorful display.
The phone sports a 2-megapixel camera but the performance is limited as it does not support any autofocus or flash. But it does have a picture album feature to allow users to store their photos on their own.
Built in WAP, HTML and XHTML web browsing technologies provide speedy and quality internet access to the user.
It also comes with Bluetooth with A2DP and USB connection allowing it to connect to other compatible devices.
There is a built-in music player and the player supports MP3, AAC and WMA files. It also includes a FM Radio feature so that the user can listen to their stations and also keep updated with latest news and information. Sadly there the phone does not come up with a 3.5 jack but the normal Samsung connector.
Overall the phone is stylish and at the same time user friendly. As a mid-range phone the handset is therefore less complicated and but does provide all the essential services that we would expect from a phone these days making it a smart value for money.
