Design and Looks
The Samsung B3410 comes with a round edged design with dimension of 102.3x52.4x15.9mm. It weighs about 113.7g and is light and easy on pocket.
The screen on the phone measures about 240x320 pixels measuring 2.6 inches and supports up to 65,000 colors. The screen is able to display colors with bright and vibrant colors and does a good job at outdoors with good sunlight eligibility.
The keyboard on the phone is a slide out QWERTY keypad. The keys are nicely placed and have good distance between them. The texture is almost plastic but the shape of the keys makes sure that the fingers do not slip through even at fast speeds. A welcome feature for many users who would text and message a lot between their friends and families.
The navigation on the phone is a ease with instant access to all the favorite online contents with just a touch on the resistive touch screen display. Sending of mails and SMS and MMS is now fluent and timeless and also featuring the threaded message box which would be appreciated by people who are constantly active social circle.
On the communication front the phone GPRS and EDGE facilities. For local connection the phone has inbuilt Bluetooth and USB version 2.0 . There is no 3G nor Wi-Fi supported on the device.
The internal memory on the phone is about 30MB and features a micro SD slot which is up to 8GB, thus giving ample memory space for storage of music tracks and emails.
The music player on the device supports MP3/Wav/eAAC+/WMA. Also included on the device is the video player which can play MP4, H.263, H.264 player. Both players are able to play files without any lag and have a good performance. For music enthusiasts the company has also included the FM Radio with RDS and FM recording facility to easily record tracks on air.
The camera on the phone is a 2 megapixel one which can capture images at the resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. There is no secondary camera included on the phone but the main camera can also record videos with QVGA at 13fps. The picture quality is average and lacks brightness , the exclusion of auto focus means the pictures do not come sharp.
Overall the phone targets mainly users with text intensive usage and appeals to the younger generation who like to be in touch with their friends at all times.
